Open the family
Click Families in the sidebar and select the family. If a card is saved, it appears in the header as the brand and last four digits — for example Visa ••••4242 (exp. 12/27). If none is saved, you'll see No card on file.
- 2
Charge the card
Click Charge Card. The dialog title is Charge card. Confirm the Card, enter an Amount and a Description (required — placeholder Student agenda, one-off lesson, etc.), then click Charge (or Charge $X.XX). You'll see Charged $X.XX. The charge appears on Transactions.

Or send a card update link
If the card expired or the family needs to change it, click Update Payment Method. The dialog is Send Card Update Link. Review Recipient Details (Family, Contact, Email), optionally click Preview for the Email Preview, then Send Email. You'll see Card update link sent successfully! The link is valid for 7 days.
Tips
- You need the Manage Financials permission to see the card and charge it. Admins and the account holder always have it.
- Charge Card and Update Payment Method only appear once the family has a Stripe customer (they've paid or saved a card).
- Monthly lesson billing still lives on Tuition — see Managing a Family's Subscription.
